Dear Anna Faye Allison Burgess,
ReplyDeleteI'm an Allison, though not directly descended from William Allison whose widow and children went from PA to Orange Co. NC. I may however be descended from one of William's brothers and am trying to find more information on this family that emigrated from Northern Ireland to the PA/MD area. My line of Allisons went from the PA/MD area to Anson>Rowan>Iredell County in the 1748-1752 timeframe and settled on Fourth Creek there. If you have any information about William's family in PA I would be very grateful if you would share it. I am not sure how to communicate in a way that preserves our privacy; please advise.
Best regards,
Leslie Allison,
descendant of Thomas Allison born 1722 in No. Ireland, married Magdalene Simonton @1747, early settler on Fourth Creek between 1748-1752. (Thomas Allison's Brothers (we think): James married to a Mary from Cecil Co MD; settled on Third Creek, Andrew married Ann Simonton (sister of Magdalene); Fourth Creek, and Robert; Fourth Creek. We do not know who their parents were.
