9th GREAT GRANDFATHER My "Dead People" study goes on.   As it goes on, the unearthing of knowledge is vast. I have no way of knowing where I'm going or where I'll end. I stopped many times on the way up the chain with the sole purpose of doing a blog entry. I could not stop the journey ... now I know why. Where I ended on this search; well, meant to be. As a trip to England is on my list of places to go  before I   become a "dead person"... the time is drawing near to begin the planning.   Elizabeth, get right on this!  9th Great Grandfather Henry Whitfield SR                                Henry was buried on September 17, 1657.   Our beautiful daughter, Elizabeth, was born on  September 17, 1980.  323 years apart.  Love those ...

WE WERE ‘14’

April 9, 2019, was a  day of change. On April 8, 2019, the number of  my Maternal First Cousins was “14”. Sunday, January 27, 2016 Sometimes we all need to be reminded what life is all about. I was still; and I listened. My Grandmother Dovie had one full brother.  Arthur was two years older than her. This is a celebration ~  ARTHUR MARTIN DOVIE MARTIN ALLISON Little was known to me about my Great Uncle Arthur Martin.  My Daddy spoke of his Uncle Arthur from time to time; but I never asked questions.  One should always seize the moment . . . I know that now.  But, honestly, I don’t believe my Daddy ‘knew’ anything . . . Why not?  Throughout the past few years, I have thought of him often.  What did I know ... he left home young, served in the military, and lived out his life in Arizona.  That is all. I WAS STILL. AND I LISTENED. THIS WEEK...
